In the courtroom, Jonna has handled hundreds of cases as a criminal defense attorney. She also previously served in the San Diego City Attorney's Office, Criminal Division and the Office of the United States Attorney in the Drug Task Force and Appellate units. She is currently among the few elite attorneys in the Hudson Valley who are members of the National College for DUI Defense.
Jonna is a California death penalty scholar whose research has been published in the San Diego Justice Journal. Her work with wayward youth earned her a certification as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate in the San Diego Juvenile Court. One year later, Jonna received special recognition by the San Diego bench for her work in the area of Three Strikes defense. She is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law where she was also a member of Law Review.
